Class of 1963 Scholarship (Building toward an endowment)
Provides support to the Dean's highest priorities.
Provides scholarship support to students pursuing a DVM degree.
To facilitate training, education and dialogue for animal welfare by bringing together veterinarians, animal scientists, and other stakeholders to improve animal wellbeing.
The goals are these:
1) To provide a neutral platform for animal welfare issues to be identified, discussed, and science-based and ethical solutions to be explored.
2) To positively impact animal health and welfare by expanding educational opportunities in the areas of research and training, leading to board certification in the American College of Animal Welfare.
3) To encourage faculty to engage in collaborative animal welfare research and outreach activities.
4) A major focus will be to develop curriculum and trainings to educate students, veterinarians, first responders, government agency representatives, and community members in emergency and disaster prevention and response methods for animals.
To provide operating funds for the Knights Landing One Health Project.
The Knights Landing One Health Project is a collaborative effort between School of Veterinary Medicine and School of Medicine students in an underserved rural community. They are each providing health clinics for their area of concern and jointly providing wellness education and preventative medicine to improve the livelihood of the pets and their owners. Your gift to this project will help provide veterinary care and foster the One Health approach to community medicine.
General operating support for veterinary clinical trials program
The Veterinary Center for Clinical Trials was established to accelerate identification and development of diagnostics and therapeutics for the benefit of our veterinary patients and people, and to increase the visibility and importance of veterinary medicine within the biomedical community.
